Adult Literacy 3792 is offered at Entry Levels 1, 2, and 3. The course is City and Guilds' accredited, and is suitable for young and mature adults who need to gain basic skills of reading, writing, and/or communication. Learning at this level also offers adults to work in groups to develop team effort. Entry Level is offered at sub-levels 1, 2, and 3 to allow for varying capabilities of candidates at this level. At Entry Level, candidates cover a wide range of individual and integrated skills activities that promote speaking and listening, reading and writing. Skills are carefully developed at a working pace to suit the needs of the learner.
What you will cover: You will be taken through diagnostic assessment to determine your sub-level (i.e. whether you are at Entry Level 1, 2, or 3) to identify whether you have applied for the right course. An initial assessment following this will allow us to further assess the skills identified through diagnostics. Students will be familiarised with your learning environment, teachers and general facilities at your induction, and be given a brief introduction to your course. All students work over 5 units (at appropriate Entry Levels). Throughout the coursework you will receive regular tutorial support allowing one-on-one tuition to take place. Teachers will be proactive in providing consrtructive feedback to students, therefore improving enthusiasm and encouraging personal development. End of Course Assessment: 1 Assignment at appropriate Entry sub-level.
