    Increasing numbers of parents are deciding to take control of their children’s home education, and provide home schooling. This may be to provide extra support in areas which the child finds difficult, or perhaps it’s simply because the parent is unable to send their child to a suitable school in the area. Whatever the reason, the home schooling revolution is gathering pace. NEW 'TRUTH'LETTER!!!

PMA officially launches its new Truthletter this Summer on August 16th! The Truthletter is the rebirth of PMA's newsletter which now offers coverage of a wide range of commonly known and talked-about, truth-based problems, dispositions and disadvantages with possible solutions. Featured stories will also include poets and debate questions with responses.

The Truthletter is not your average 'newsletter', as it brings from the minds of adults and young people, truth diverse contextual themes. STUDENT ALLIANCE NOMINATIONS

Students are being called on to put forward Nominations for the following representatives. 

Senior students have recently met and identified that a Student Alliance is needed, bringing ambitious students (who take pride in student needs, events and opportunities) together to form a sort of consortium where they could air their views, make decisions on residential and other event dates before feeding back to PMA's Events Coordinator for consideration.  Nominations are  NOW UNDERWAY!

Put forward the name of the person you think should be considered for the following profiles.

Please note, students cannot nominate themselves for the first 3 profiles to follow. You can however, nominate yourself for standard (general) membership.

STUDENT OWARE UNION TRAINING & TOURNAMENTS!

The Student Oware Union has been reformed and is now organised in a manner that widens the scope of participation by offering students of Public Schools membership, thereby encouraging them to play at Arranged Tournaments.

PMA Students will play on teams within PMA, whilst also playing students of other schhols. Currently renewing our partnership agreement with the Oware Society for student links to international contests. Training has already commenced and will continue throughout the first couple of months into the new School Year, followed by organised Tournaments. Keep Posted.

STUDENT RESIDENTIAL TRIP!

Student residential trip penciled to take place during the Autumn half term (may be subject to change). During the new school year, PMA plans to host a follow-up of its annual residential activities for young people ages 13 - 16.  Discussions are under way as to whether this should be a combined trip of older and younger students between the ages of 13 - 19.
