Vision

Positive Mental Attitude's primary vision is to enable young people and adults of African/African-Caribbean origin, to obtain the education and skills needed to benefit themselves and to better function in cultural and mainstream societies.

Our primary vision was formulated after much research undertaken by the Founders, which revealed that the target group is at highest risk of underachieving in Mainstream Schools and Society. These young people and adults are misnomered ‘‘untouchables, ‘underperformers and/or the ‘lost generations’ (among other stereotypes).

PMA endeavors to change this trend by providing quality and essential skills development opportunities to the target group; thus improving their sense of identity, educational attainment and the responsiveness of providers to them.

PMA's service provision is based on these following principles:

Respect for another culture:
PMA does not seek to change or interfere with another culture.  We maintain an open-door policy to prospective students from other cultural backgrounds.

Sustainability:
PMA strives to help other people to help themselves.

Gender equality:
PMA programs will provide equal opportunity to female and male persons.

• Quality of Service:
We are committed to providing Quality of Service and take all the necessary steps to ensure that this is reflected in all contexts of our provision.
